Unless there is an separate protocol handler that accepts any protocol request and returns replies to be rendered in a browser, ftp tree, email client, and more, then you do not have a &quot;platform&quot;.

Rather, you have a browser, still.

On a side note, Google Chrome seems to have swiped the best features of Opera 9.5x [see:  http://www.opera.com ]</description>
