I am using the term Peakoil more as a way to stay focus and ‘tag’ things.
The impact of PeakOil can be many; likewise the things we do can have impact on the economy and environment.
While my current focus is more ’self’ rather than the ‘world’, I believe the sum of all these small steps taken will have a big impact.
This month, my girl of age 5 switched out of her habit of having powdered milk for her breakfast.
What does this means?
It means we do not have to keep our electric air pot on over the night so that we get ‘instant’ hot water for her milk.
I am not sure what kind of savings this is going to translate to. What I do know, that our consumption of electricity is above the average Singaporean households (as stated in our utilities bill). And this, is what I am focusing on. Getting it down to below the average level.
