Recently, I was looking through some of my old notes when I started Neusteps 5 years back.
One of the objectives was really to help small, medium sized enterprises (SME) be more efficient (hence, our tag line B.efficient).
Our value has always been helping companies be successful with a strong focus on how companies can manage their process more efficiently. Our experience with clients of different sizes tells us that most companies can increase their revenues just by working on the process improvement alone.
“But, why isn’t SME spending on IT?”
I know that for SMEs to compete successfully, they have to innovate and be efficient. With these thoughts in mind, I spent a lot of time trying to address the following concerns :
- What are their key concerns?
- Why is it so?
- How can Neusteps help SME be more successful?
There are those who find difficulty in understanding the value of IT systems. Others find the initial investment too much for a small business solution.
And at the end of the day, how does it make them more efficient, save costs, and grow their revenue.
Much of the their ‘fear’ towards IT system is because vendors make it sound complex.
Selling to the SME requires a lot of education. A lot of them do not have an IT department with most decision make either by the business owner or a technology savvy staff taking on added responsibility.
Over the next few months, we will try to address all these concerns. And how, Neusteps together with other partners can address business owners’ concerns and how everybody can grow together.
