I started a new category, Investment, in my blog.
It has nothing to do with investment for business but rather, focus on how I think about investment and is using them to work towards my financial goals.
The story so far….
We started our first investment back in 2002. It was a tough decision for us to make. I was just starting out with Neusteps, economy was down and revenue was slow to come by.
After attending a talk by Robert Kiyosaki, I was convinced to decide what I want for life and how I want to get there. That night, I shared with my wife, the key concepts that I learnt from the seminar.
We talked about what we enjoy doing and which quadrant (Employee, Small Business, Big Bussiness, Investor), ESBI, do we want to be.
We were committed to our financial independence and focus on what we want to achieve. Within 2 weeks, we started our investment. Within 1 month, we have put ALL our savings into properties overseas. It’s a make or break event.
Our reasoning is simple, if you have only ONE dollar left, will you save it or invest it?
Today, we are always working hard on bringing our expenses down. The extras that we have will be push to investment.
That night when I share what I learned with Daphne and the day we started on our first investment….
