If there is one thing that the Mac ‘lacks’, that will be javascript support for its browser, Safari and MSIE.
It is this very lacking feature that has make it almost impossible for the local banks to enable Mac users to login to their system. The only work around back then was to use Netscape version 7 or OLDER (I believe) to access the site.
This is one thing that you can’t blame the banks for. I suspect, when they embark on those ‘e-projects’, the Mac have not become a great hit. MSIE on the Mac and Safari browser lacks the javascript features to support java applet.
Today, I found out with Camino (and probably Firefox), it is possible for me to logon to UOB’s site.
I think it is the better support of Javascript from Camino that makes it happen; more than the possibility that UOB is a strong supporter of making things work cross platform.
So, for you guys looking for a better browser on the Mac, there is always Camino
