I admit it. I love Apple!
My dad bought our first computer (a clone at that time), in around 1984…. and it died after numerous resurrection in around 1987 or so.
I never really use or own a computer again until 1997. There are a few rare occasions between those years where schoolmates shows me their new 286 and what not graphics cards. I also have brief encounter with the PC while I was serving my National Service.
Those days, I never see it as a must to own a PC…much less excites me. I own 2 PC from 97…the first a Pentium, which I bought so that I can do my course work at home..and later overclocked a dual-Celeron just for the fun of it.
Today, I own an IBM thinkpad (T41) and a Apple PowerBook G4. Both are wonderful machines…with great built-in keyboards and nice logical placing of ports.
But, the truth is, the Mac always excites me. Even in the days when I owns the PC..and is not well off enough to buy a Mac, it is clear that the subtle things that the Mac allows you to do is different from PC/Windows.
For this, I would like to share with you one of the classic advertisments that Apple has.
“Why 1984 won’t be like 1984?”

I think my life changed in 1984.
